INDEX / ABOUT

One person.
One studio.
Phoenix, AZ.

I build websites for small businesses — the kind of places that sit between "my cousin made it in Wix" and "we paid an agency $60k for a slide deck." That middle ground is where most real businesses live, and it's where good web work tends to disappear.

Before this studio, I worked in IT and cybersecurity. That hasn't gone anywhere — it shows up in the parts of the job most designers skip. Certificates that don't lapse. Forms that don't leak. Admin panels that aren't sitting on the open internet with a default password. Most older sites I'm asked to redesign also need a quiet hardening pass, and I do that too.

I named the studio 85engineers after the Arizona zip-code prefix (85xxx).

How I work.

01
No templates.
Every project starts from zero. I'd rather ship a smaller site that fits you than a bigger one that fits anybody.
02
You talk to me.
No project manager, no junior handoffs. The person on the call is the person writing the CSS.
03
Hardened by default.
I came from IT and cybersecurity. SSL set up the right way, forms that don't leak, dependencies that don't quietly expire, DNS configured to actually work — even on the small jobs.
04
Launch, then stay.
30 days of free revisions after launch. After that, small changes are still small — no retainer required.
05
Hand it off clean.
Docs, a real CMS, an owner-friendly README. If you fire me tomorrow, the next developer can pick it up.
